STD Diagnostics
Sexually Transmitted Infections panel from 1 sample
Tests can be requested as a group of 7+1 (including HPV test), as single assays or combined. Due to the common technological platform developed by GenoID, one sampling is enough (cervix, urine, semen etc.) to perform all 8 tests.
- Chlamydia trachomatis
- Neisseria gonorrhoeae
- Herpes simplex (1/2)
- Mycoplasma genitalium
- Ureaplasma urealyticum
- Gardnerella vaginalis
- Trichomonas vaginalis
Performing 8 tests from 1 sample presents several advantages to both the practitioner and the patient:
- Provides complete “women’s and men’s health” results
- Comprehensive and detailed picture about the clinical status of the patient in case of vaginal discharge, cervicitis, urethritis, prostatitis
- Multiple sampling has disadvantages as it is ineffective, painful and expensive, requires multiple validated detection systems with all the extra costs involved
