Conventional PCR HPV Assays
Genoid created a new PCR detection system, the Full Spectrum HPV Detection and Genotyping Assays, using an optimized primer set for amplification and genotyping on the basis of Yoshikawa et al’s original work. The Yoshikawa L1 amplicon sequence itself is suitable for consensus amplification of HPV genotypes and it is also possible to design both separate genus and genotype specific probes to the same amplicon.

Aspired To Make The Best
The new system outperforms in all features the original method and has a potential to be the most advanced HPV detection system available today.
The Full Spectrum HPV system is based on a new L1F/L1R primerset, where the primers are independently synthesized molecules, therefore their relative ratio can be easily controlled and optimized.
During the development the key target was the clinically desirable balanced sensitivity of amplification.
The novel approach using two separate regions for the genus- and genotype specific detection of the amplicons allows highly optimized probe design for both applications.
Thouroughly Tested
We have used the system to detect HPV in over fifty thousand clinical samples successfully.
The test is now entering to the CE marking phase (“Conformité Européenne”) for in-vitro diagnostics. CE mark for the product is due in the fourth quarter of 2005.
Comprehensive
The Full Spectrum HPV genotyping kit is an important landmark in cervical carcinoma diagnostics.
The test is the first PCR-based test with balanced detection sensitivity for all (over 50) genital HPV genotypes , including all high- and low-risk genotypes in the anogenital region, and it is based on Genoid’s patent pending method.
Trustable
The unique strategy, which detects HPV both as a genotype and as the human papillomavirus eliminates false positive, while the usage of the internal control excludes false negative results.
More Sensitive And More Specific
Based on preliminary results, which are already available form the clinical studies, the Full Spectrum HPV Test performed better than the competitors in both sensitivity and specifity.
Adaptable
The assays are ready for automation. Different options from simple instrumentation to total automation are available. The kits and the method can be used for screening, diagnostics and for genotyping as well. The tests allow for customization, that is, particular groups of genotypes can also be detected.
